While we’re at it, the I paper is also leaving standards at the door. The writer of this comment piece fails to declare that (a) James Harding gave her job as editor of the Today programme and (b) her husband is partner at Brunswick PR - a biz partner of Tortoise Media. 🙄 inews.co.uk/opinion/obse...

I am amazed the Times would publish something like this. Have they dispensed with fact checkers/subs? Did the reporter miss the bit on the training course where you learn to invite comment from / check the story out with people on both sides? Is it ok to just paste in a quote from a PR and be done?

I’m a lifelong Guardian and Observer reader and I think a full refund is the least you can do having seemingly abandoned CP Scott’s mission to uphold UK liberal journalism and behave with integrity.

I would like to cancel my subscription and I also request the money I’ve handed over to date be refunded. I’m outraged by the behaviour of GNM’s management and feel I have been persuaded to donate funds by false promises.

I have been reading and watching reports of the Guardian’s sale of the historic Observer to a loss making digital startup - despite having £1.3bn in the bank that the Scott Trust chooses not to invest in the title - with dismay.

URGENT: the strikes have made a breakthrough:

"..as MPs table early day motion."
Politicians express “serious concerns” about Observer sale

This could and should be a significant turning point, and they should be cheering down on the picket line.

Gov petition next?
