Fans who insist DW have a low budgets seem to fall into two groups
1) Those who think it will automatically make scripts better
2) Those who just want shitty FX for a kitsch fix
Nether is ever likely to be satisfied because 1) writing doesn't work like that and 2) FX tech will always improve.

#DoctorWho can be great with low or big budget, but RTD1 fans completely forget how big, bombastic, flashy, FX-heavy it really was. Also had a bigger budget than the next 2 eras. It wasn’t this cheap era RTD1 just had terrible cinematography and CGI. This literally all fans are nostalgia for. 1/2 😵💫

#DoctorWho can be great with low or big budget, but RTD1 fans completely forget how big, bombastic, flashy, FX-heavy it really was. Also had a bigger budget than the next 2 eras. It wasn’t this cheap era RTD1 just had terrible cinematography and CGI. This literally all fans are nostalgia for. 1/2 😵💫

Doctor Who fans love to say "the budget should be slashed" but when it was dramatically slashed for S5 most either didn't notice or thought it look too expensive and was wasting too much money on production values and CGI even when the finale was just four people vs one Dalek in any empty museum.

Also, if you want to be mad at Disney, be upset at their lack of commitment. It caused Ncuti to leave early, Varada got screwed out another season and messed up Susan getting to come back fully as well. But once again, that wouldn’t be an issue if the deal wasn’t ending. #DoctorWho
