There are a few Firefox forks already! Iceweasel, Firedragon, and Floorp all come to mind. Iceweasel is maintained by Debian and Firedragon by Garuda Linux.

Just...personal sympathy. I know what it's like to have to carry the guilt of hurting someone you love because you weren't in your right mind. It's hard. Not at all saying that excuses anything or that he shouldn't see consequences for his actions.
