The Internet is so good for stuff like mutual aid and keep people informed amid crisis. Like, when I feel despair--and these days I often do--it's a small encouragement to be reminded that when we are proximal to suffering, we are capable of extraordinary generosity.

Say what you will about Ebenezer Scrooge but his pajama game was on another level. You can hate the man, but you can't hate that nightgown/cap/slippers/candle combo. Straight-up cozy.

Thoughts on Wicked: the Emerald City obviously has some governance issues, but the clear lack of cars, height limits, and setback requirements, and very efficient high speed rail system make it an extremely appealing urban space
