Well, maybe Mary (his niece) who has repeatedly and consistently raised the alarms about him, but she doesn’t appear interested.

However, your warning of the coming pain is well taken. As you said, he is a wounded and (perhaps literally) dying animal, and he (joined by his advisors) is acting like one.

Thank you for your continued words of compassion and wisdom.

Love the movie. Made me feel a bit silly that it took me to the halfway point to catch the fact that Dr. Elizabeth Shaw (Noomi Rapace) is also the name and title of the third Doctor’s first comanion (Caroline John).

Thanks to everyone for understanding what I meant in my broken sentence “so far [below] subsistence…”

He told a great story about serving first responders at a food line after 911. Several recognized him and asked him to do the voice but he didn’t want to take away from them. Finally, he was convinced to put on his Batman voice and he said that line and the room cheered.

I actually had to write a “professional” review of this movie for a small town weekly with one editorial policy. No bad reviews of films playing at the advertiser. I basically praised them for making a movie on a virtually nonexistent budget.

I remember when Fierce Creatures mentioned Willie B-a fixture of Zoo Atlanta the whole time I was growing up.

Or a friend of mine telling of seeing Damnation Alley in Charlotte. Movie starts with reports of Nuclear strikes : LA, NY, Chicago hit-quiet-Atlanta, Raleigh-real quiet-Charlotte [SCREAM]!

The national poverty level is woefully inadequate. There are places it works ok, but in cities and certain states it is so far even a subsistence level of income one literally has every penny spoken for before the first mouthful of food is purchased.

1. There needs to be bicycle safe lanes and paths. Period.

2. All drivers need to be aware of and yield for the safety of cyclists.

3. At the risk of getting flamed, there are times when I really want to ask *some* bicyclists to *please* give me a fighting chance to provide that safe right of way.

If you haven’t already, try and see the Val Guest disaster film “The Day The Earth Caught Fire.” It takes place mostly in a newsroom, is very character driven, and well acted. Also, in the third act, obscured by dense fog, is a police officer directing traffic with a *very familiar* Cockney voice.

Err-doesn’t that literally make the act fit the legal definition of the crime of Murder *One* - premeditation?

What the right denigrates as “Woke” and “political correctness” really should be called by a different word:

Politeness.

Oh, and Manners also applies.

Thank you for the clarification-I was misunderstanding Medicare for All. I support this.

I do have reservations about disallowing other options in addition to the one payer, but agree that any such options do not relieve anyone from fully paying into the Medicare for All system.

Technically, yes. But the War Powers Resolution (1973), (ironically intended to *control* Presidential war powers overreach) allows up to 60 days hostilities with an additional 30 days for withdrawal without Congressional approval. But theoretically Congress can deny authorization.

Agree completely. I liked his vulnerability in the skating rink scene. He is *visibly* scared-this was a very capable but also human take on Bond.

Oh, and “this never happened to the other fellow.”

The Quiet Earth.

Bonus: Transatlantic Tunnel (original title: The Tunnel) 1935

Bonus 2: Superman and the Mole Men. 1951 (Deserves mention:1. made in 1950s but the invaders were us 2. Microscopic budget led to most inventive flight scene-A POV shot down on the crowd.)

What is interesting is, if Galaxy Quest is accepted as a genuine Star Trek movie, the “stick to even number” myth holds. Because if so, then GQ is X, 2009 XII, and Beyond XIV.

One other thing Lincoln did really well. Historical accounts of the real Lincoln’s voice describe it as almost a falsetto and even slightly unpleasant, not the booming baritone usually heard in movies. Daniel Day Lewis’s voice was a fairly high pitched and somewhat squeaky.

Trump, who values “loyalty” above anything else, has a *history* of ignoring and abandoning his allies at the drop of a hat if it didn’t profit him personally.

Well, someone also pointed out there are 5 stories that kept getting recycled in TNG, DS9, VOY, and ENT.

And the second episode of TNG unambiguously recycled an idea from The Naked Time (TOS), as well as starting the arguably inaccurate unfair “Wesley always saves the ship” cliche.

As someone who identifies as Christian, I’m glad you had parents who raised you right.

(And I say that absolutely sincerely and if it sounds at all patronizing it’s unintentional and I apologize.)

But you left out the word legal.

Mainly cause the Bible leaves it out.
