I’d like to ask every single New Yorker who’s remotely left of center to get actively involved in your local Democratic Party chapter with the goal of driving Schumer, Gillibrand, Hochul, Adams, Cuomo and all the other dead wood into retirement.

The institutional Democratic Party is guided by an almost pathological level of conflict avoidance in almost every direction. “What can we do to make the least number of people mad?” is just a bankrupt way to operate.

Mitch McConnell drives me nuts and I hate his tactics which got us into so much of this mess, but sometimes I really wish the Democrats would play his game.

So few of them seem to understand the stakes, and they lack imagination to see how quickly the damage can be irreversible.

I like that Indivisible is prioritizing the most outrageous and unfit nominees. Join me in contacting your senators and urging them to vote NO on RFK.

Just a reminder that you don’t have to do the next 4 years like you did his last 4 years. Protect your peace, pick important battles, mute accounts that make you spiral. I can’t let my daily mental health hinge on his depravity again, and it’s ok to regroup and fight cleaner and better and smarter.

“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter” - MLK Jr.

8 years ago, I couldn’t look away. Today, I am choosing to disconnect. Disconnecting doesn’t mean staying silent. It means being intentional about when, how, where and with who I spend my energy.

Despite patriarchy's persistence, growing numbers of men believe they have it worse off than women. And, new research shows this "male victimhood" ideology is most common among men who aren't facing hardship. Which means what they're really feeling is status loss. 1/

Male victimhood ideology driven by perceived status loss, not economic hardship, among Korean men
Research published in Sex Roles suggests that male victimhood ideology among South Korean men is driven more by perceived socioeconomic status decline rather than objective economic hardship.

I’ve gone down the rabbit hole of federal law/CMS requirements for documentation of BH services more times than I can count. Perhaps Bluesky folks can help🤷🏻‍♀️. Particularly looking for treatment planning/progress notes not tied to specific service (eg, outpatient) for Medicaid reimbursement

My total step count is less than 700 today and I am sad. Keep trying to tell myself that #nothingmatters, so my OCD should be cured. 🤷🏻‍♀️ But post-democracy has yet to rid me of fixating on SmartArt …🫣

Perhaps come January 20th, I won’t spent an insane amount of hours on one PowerPoint slide 😆
