Summary: He tells him the whole story, and Lan Zhan makes good on his promise not to hit him. He does seem to despair more with each passing second, though, exasperation written all over his features. Silence. “None of this explains why you carry a demon egg with you,” Lan Zhan says when he is done. Wei Ying blinks. “Oh! That was something else haha. While I was walking after visiting the second demon, I saw those two very suspicious-looking demons holding that egg. I thought that that didn't look right, so I confronted them and asked them questions. They tried to fight me and I won, but they ran away without the egg…” Again, Lan Zhan stares at him. He looks like he is seconds away from either banging his head on the table, or violently attempting to shake some sense into him. Honestly? Fair. - Wei Ying gets cursed on his birthday, doomed by some goddamn asshole to have a bomb explode in his body within the next 12 hours. Having no particular wish to blow up, he enlists the help of Lan Zhan, his archnemesis, and regular fuckbuddy. What could possibly go wrong? (Or: A birthday, a bomb, and a baby.)
