Haha it would be a pleasure. ☺️ I enjoy spreadsheets and working on them. I was showing my old union president one this one time that took about 2 minutes to make, and he was showing me how he wrote the entire thing on his tablet in pen over about 6 hours 😂😂

Excel is amazing! The rush of figuring out a complicated formula is amazing 😂 It’s fine, you can call me a nerd if you’d like.

Home Alone is an absolute banger. The only reason to dislike it, is the cameo from Trump. Die Hard is also 100% a Christmas Movie and when I take over in authoritarian fashion, will be my first executive order. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I’ve been contemplating this lately with the question of how we measure success. To your point of “souls pointed to the cross” - do you feel that’s a measure of success based on the quantity of souls that you do point to the cross? Or simply a byproduct of a life lived for Christ?

I will say - in the city where I was a paramedic, I encountered several homeless people who came to our city because we did offer a shelter and some services. I considered that a positive though, not a negative!

This - as much as anything - infuriates me.

I’m so confused 😂 I thought this was in reference to a Halligan Bar and I was just not understanding the joke.

When I think of Jesus, I believe he would stand up for the poor, the mistreated, the immigrants, and the children and maybe flip a table or two. But at the same time, allow himself to be sent to the cross.

I wonder too, is there a difference between how we respond to other groups being oppressed vs. when we personally think we are being oppressed?

Ha!! I’m not sure if I agree or disagree but that did make me chuckle quite a bit. 😂 Amen! I think! I’ll have to ponder this some more..

It certainly affords that opportunity.
August 16, 2025 at 11:53 PM
True.
I think my humanity wants the groups who have oppressed and abused other groups for generations, to really “get what they deserve” and take a turn being treated poorly.

I’m not sure how that fits with Jesus.

I would tend to agree, I wonder though, is the system inherently wrong? Or is it how we take the opportunity to be selfish (or not) as people within the system that is wrong? What is the actual answer as an economic system?

Should we really be hoping people suffer regardless of state/political affiliation/voting history/ or any other reason? It feels wrong to me to hope that people will face suffering due to the consequences (judgement?) of their choices..

Narnia is always up there.

Also just remembered “Snow Treasure”. I can remember my dad reading it to us, one chapter a night during the winter.
