I'm so glad aroace people have gotten to the point of visibility of 22 year olds online calling it a trend. That's awesome! In my youthful days, they were just overpathologised and had crimes committed against them. Oh how far we've come as a society. Bigotry of "you're existing for attention" 🙄

Nearly three full weeks after the fire in the bedroom, we were able to sleep through the night as a family (two humans and two cats) in the bedroom. No fires, no pee accidents, and an unfortunate number of farts from the eldest cat. But a success that was unimaginable even five days ago

So far (15 minutes into the first episode) the only meaningful update I can give on my opinion of this docuseries is that my lovely children are extremely confused about whether I'm happy or sad and keep looking at me sideways from a safe distance (a sob and a cheer are equally likely to come)

My grandfather was raised Lutheran (conservative, classic) and this photo is from his confirmation that he did not follow through with because he was disgusted by the antisemitism in the church doctrine. His work during the wars was successful because he was undetected by the govt as a threat.
In moving my grandmother to senior living, I acquired a ton of photos of her family. This is the last man to have my last name. He was a chemical engineer in the 1940s, and if he had social media back then, people would consider him a MAGA loser (he was not). Social media is not real life, remember.
