Happy turkey day to everyone. Everyone should be able to eat and be housed. I am thankful for all the people who work at soup kitchens and hand out food to low income and unhoused year round. I got to volunteer with Operation Turkey Greensboro. It was great to do something different this year.

An incredibly important read from our friend @seemiaroll.bsky.social

"Obtaining an education is one of the best ways to help disabled people secure a stable income—and by weakening the IDEA, the Trump administration is trying to take those opportunities away."

Ives-Rublee: Federal law made it possible for disabled students like me to go to school. Those opportunities may vanish for the next generation.

So they tore down a wing of the White House without finalized plans for the addition? Sound like what they've been wanting to do with the ACA.
I went to a black-tie wedding at the Bacara thrown by a client. By the end of it he was yelling at me that he wanted me to sue the ice sculpture vendor IMMEDIATELY.

The rich are different than normal people.
Exclusive: President Trump has argued with the architect he handpicked to design a White House ballroom over the size of the project, reflecting a conflict between architectural norms and Trump’s grandiose aesthetic.

Brilliant
In Monrovia, California, protesters are purchasing 17¢ ICE scrapers from Home Depot and immediately returning them to create long lines and slow down the entire store. Their aim is to disrupt sales and convey a message opposing ICE raids occurring in their neighborhood.

This may be one of the best videos DJI has commissioned. Thank you Xiomara and @elenahung.bsky.social for being willing to share your story. The IDEA is essential for disabled kids futures . We must protect and increase its funding. #IDEA50
For 50 years, IDEA has helped disabled children get the education they need to dream big about their future. With more than $38 billion gap in IDEA funding, elected officials must protect and strengthen IDEA to ensure students continue to get the services they need. #IDEA50

A great piece in The Wash.

"There’s this general belief that disabled people don’t have disposable income,” Ives-Rublee said. “Then, when no one comes, they feel it proves their point — not realizing disabled people aren’t coming because of inaccessibility.”
