Students with disabilities face heightened risks as funding, services, and federal safeguards are threatened.

For those who may not be aware, the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) is a law that makes available a free appropriate public education (FAPE) to eligible children with disabilities.

Fifty years ago, Congress passed IDEA to end the exclusion of disabled children from public schools. Today, that promise is under threat from inadequate funding and policy rollbacks.

IDEA is a civil rights law. Protect it. Fund it. Celebrate it.

This right here is why people saying "they can't do that it's against the ADA" has always been one of the more frustrating things for disabled people to have to put up with. It's has not ever been enforced in a consistent way and when even the government can appeal a request...............

We are seriously going to waste money filing an appeal to prevent sign language interpretation of our own government.

This is why the Americans with Disabilities Act requirements have never, ever been fully met by this shithole country in which that is the LAW OF THE LAND.
