I had my last working (half) day of 2025 today. Been doing chores and errands most of the afternoon, but am finally kicking back with a Negroni and some snackage.

My mate Trace has sent me a Christmas card with a photo taken a few years ago when we found ourselves at the Henley regatta by mistake (we were doing a stage on our Thames walk). I don't know why I'm dressed as Kevin-and-Perry during their Madchester stage.

One of my favourites. I particularly enjoy the impressed looks on the faces of Danook's friends.

Oof, some of the Famous on Here come across a bit hoity toity. I get that Bsky etiquette is to not disagree with a post (either post a supportive message, or keep schtum). But this was someone agreeing with the original post? And someone famous for posts on language saying "consider not writing".
An interaction on Blue Sky. Someone Not Famous responding to a Famous Person saying "No. I agree with you. I just did a bad job articulating my agreement." They follow up with a post saying "I am a math guy. Writing not so much". The Famous Person replying, "Then, and tis is just a suggestion, consider not writing."

Meatball scissors. They work OK ish for the first couple, then get all gummed up and sticky. Easier to use your bare hands (or pounce on the Em and Ess ones when yellow-stickered and pop in the freezer).
A scissors-like implement whose blade tips are a pair of hollow hemispheres, purportedly for making meatballs.
