How often does government money get used in a sting and the target just gets to keep it?

Pam Bondi won't say if Tom Homan kept the $50,000 in the Cava bag, so it's safe to assume he did.

If it goes past 35 days can we assume he’s trying a Mitch McConnell open SCOTUS seat maneuver?
Recent examples of delays
• For the 113th through the 118th
Congresses (2013-2025), the median length of time for special election winners to be sworn in was seven days.
• The longest special election delay during this period was for Representative Jimmy Gomez (D-Calif.), who was sworn in 35 days after his 2017 victory. The delay was attributed to what his allies called a "family conflict"
• The most recent publicized delay involved
Representative Adelita Grijalva (D-Ariz.), who won a September 2025 special election but was not immediately sworn in, which some critics believed was a political tactic. House Speaker Mike Johnson denied the accusation, stating that she would be sworn in when

Dunno man, seems a little misleading to write an article about Trump describing activity in Portland and Chicago as “insurrection” with a 33 year old photo of a burning donut shop taken in the 1992 LA Riots (sans caption explaining that) as the header on all your posts about it.
The picture from

Two National guardsmen stand guard outside a burning donut shop in Los Angeles on April 30, 1992.
The National Guard was called in to aid police during the second day of rioting in the city.”

at this point you have to acknowledge that there is no way that these guys don't try to mess with the 2026 midterms. there is absolutely no respect for the legitimacy of the opposition

Stephen Miller: "Eventually elections don’t carry the day because violence beats votes… When we see a muscular response from the federal government, it’s because we’re not going to let violence beat votes."

Is he implying federal intervention determines political legitimacy, not ballots or courts?

Honestly don’t understand how a president whose one skill is playing the media doesn’t see this

The catch is the press always hides behind the people who do these things are mentally ill, therefore it doesn’t really count. Even if the man inspiring them is too.

Pretty sure a murderer or arsonist will have to issue a press release saying, “I did this for Trump” before the press will make explicit the terrorism flows from him, willfully. Maybe not even then.

Trump: "The problem with Vietnam, we, you know, we stopped fighting to win. We would've won easy. We would've won Afghanistan easy. We would've won every war easy. But we got politically correct. 'Oh, let's take it easy.' We're not politically correct anymore, just so you understand."

A lady I met tonight leaned in conspiratorially and asked, “How do you handle the political situation there?” I knew she was trying to figure out where I stood so I don’t think my answer - “It’s fine” - satisfied her at all.

I really didn’t notice this so plainly during the first Trump administration.

Traveling outside California I’ve noticed lately when you say where you’re from the reaction immediately tells you if someone is Fox viewer. Might as well say you’re from a village of soul eaters. Real edge of civil war vibe out here.
