MEANWHILE: House Freedom Caucus leaders are circulating this document torching the Senate-passed "big beautiful bill." They say it increases deficits and contains insufficient clean energy cuts, inadequate Medicaid rules, "excessive port for Alaska and Hawaii," among other grievances.

About 75% of the clean energy manufacturing investments announced since President Biden signed the Inflation Reduction Act have been in Republican districts. But those projects could be at risk under the latest version of President Trump’s tax bill
Biden’s climate law boosted red states. Their lawmakers are now gutting it.
The former president bet that the economic benefits of his policies would protect them over time. Trump and the GOP-controlled Congress have upended that wager.

This is one protest out of 2100 and the line is, as best I can tell, longer and denser than the crowd along Donald Trump‘s birthday parade
Thousands of peaceful protesters have lined the road for over 8 continuous miles just outside of Washington DC right now!

They did not vote for a king and they are well aware that Trump is trying to cut off their health care benefits to give tax breaks to him and his billionaire donors friends.

Here’s former ABC reporter Terry Moran’s first post on Substack. Thank you, Terry, for being unafraid to lift up your voice. This is bigger than politics as usual.

When a President is handcuffing Senators, threatening the free press, and so much more—we all have to speak up for our democracy.
Senator Murray is right.
We will lose this democracy if we do not use our voices.
