The most significant thing about #SignalGate is that Republicans reporting to Donald Trump didn't even think it was necessary to consult with Donald Trump, the supposed Commander in Chief, about attacking a foreign country. They regarded Trump as irrelevant. We should too.

Sending up gratitude for the judges AND, more importantly, the lawyers who are willing to fight for the rule of law.
As of Friday, there have been 46 cases in which federal judges have blocked Trump policies.
The rulings in those cases have come from 39 different judges appointed by 5 different presidents (of both parties) to 11 different district courts across 7 different circuits.

So, yesterday he said that Mexico should become a state. Does he not realize that would make all of the people living there automatic citizens of the US? And I assume all of the "illegals" who came from there would become citizens by default?

Makes me sad re-reading this amazing letter from ex-Watergate Special Prosecutor Archibald Cox sent to high school seniors in 1994 after they asked him “What should Americans learn from Watergate?” 20 years later in ‘94.
His answer is remarkable—unfortunately things didn’t work out so well in 2024.
