Don't fall for the race bait with Trump's takeover of DC.
The problem isn't that he's abusing Presidential power to send troops to a "Black city." The problem is that he's undermining democracy for all people.
The people of DC who are in the streets marching against Trump's move straight out of the authoritarian playbook are Black, white, Asian, Native, and Latino.
Members of the National Guard who've been illegally deployed are from every race. They've left families and jobs in their communities and are being used as props in a propaganda campaign.
We need a fusion movement to nonviolently resist this madness. Black-only responses play into the divide-and-conquer tactics of this regime. We need moral resistance that calls all of us to higher ground.

VIRGINIA ORGANIZING'S STATEMENT ON GOVERNOR YOUNGKIN'S SUPPORT FOR DEPLOYING THE VA NATIONAL GUARD TO COOPERATE WITH I.C.E. ENFORCEMENT
We are disheartened that Governor Youngkin has expressed support for utilizing state resources to deploy the National Guard on behalf of I.C.E. activity. Although we are not surprised by his alignment with President Trump's position on the matter, we are discouraged by the lack of humanity that is shown toward our immigrant communities in Virginia.
This is not a service to his constituents.
Not only does using the Virginia National Guard imply an unnecessary threat of force, but experts have also deemed the move to be "unusual" since deploying the troops into communities is generally reserved for national emergencies, like natural disasters. Youngkin's support for this action speaks to his perspective of the immigrant and immigrant-descended communities he serves. If the governor is willing to use state resources to cooperate with the I.C.E. agenda, we must question what other measures will be taken that will put our communities at risk.
We deserve to feel safe in our own communities - all of us. Virginia Organizing is committed to empowering our communities to stand up for what is best for all Virginians, and to ensure that the needs of directly-affected members of our communities are met. We stand with our friends, families, and neighbors of immigrant communities by uplifting our voices to amplify the sound of those who feel unsafe to raise their own.

WHEATPASTINE GUIDE
WHEATPASTE RECIPE
Ingredients
• 1½ cup cornstarch
• 1 gallon of water (16 cups) + extra
• Half-batch: ½ cup cornstarch to 6 cups water
Instructions
MAKE CORNSTARCH STARTER: Measure 1½ cups of cornstarch into a bowl. Using a spoon, mix with enough room temperature water until you reach a smooth and thin soup consistency.
BOIL WATER: Put one gallon of water (16 cups) on the stove and bring to boil.
ADD STARTER: Once the water boils, turn off the heat and mix in the cornstarch starter. Add the starter slowly while stirring quickly with a whisk or fork. The starter should get incorporated into the entire gallon of hot water.
LET COOL: Once it is well-mixed, allow the mixture to cool. It will thicken as it cools.
This is your completed wheatpaste.
TRANSFER: Transfer your wheatpaste into containers with a lid for easy storage. It is easier to transfer your wheatpaste into containers while it's still warm, before it thickens completely.
STORE: In a sealed container in the refrigerator.
HOW TO PUT UP POSTERS

• Large paintbrush
• Container of wheatpaste
• Posters
• Scraper (optional)
• Paper towels and bottle of water to clean up (optional)

The reason that voting by mail is such a threat to minority rule is that A. It makes voting easy and B. Trump is trying to end voting by mail. I’ve voted by mail in Arizona since 1991, 33 years. Eight other states have automatic mail in voting. There is nothing fraudulent about it and was put into place by Republicans and Republicans vote by mail too. This is the biggest lie ever.
