Approaching 3/4 of a century on this earth. Politically adrift as the parties chase each other to the bottom. The trouble is that there are people who are plainly good for the most part in every party except Reform yet they get buried under dross.
I remember when, years ago, Iraq war, a joke in the NHS was that there was need of a new operation. Excision of British PM from rectum of US President. That was Blair and GW. Labour PM and US President taking us into a very long war.

Let’s be honest. He’s achieved his objective. Epstein is off the front pages. And he’s going to give Venezuelan oil to the highest US bidder. Bids to DJTrump in plain envelopes?

Always remember that Tice’s mistress is a right wing “journalist” who continually rants about immigrants in the right wing press. While she is an “immigrant” in the UAE. Pots and kettles. Typical Reform.

How can Robert Jenrick ever be taken as other than a moron after he over- ruled a planning inspector to save a multi millionaire pal millions in tax? A tax that would have benefitted locals who certainly weren’t millionaires. Is he Tory or Reform? I can’t remember. Or tell the difference.

Neither you nor I is dead. So we aren’t covered in the OAP bit.

As a teenager, years before personal computers and t’internet thingy, I usually read around 3 novels a week in term time and 6 in the holidays. Discovered the magical world of The Lord of the Rings when I was 12. All from the local library. Happy days. Librarians pointed me in the right direction.

Littlejohn lives in Florida, has done for years if my memory serves. He’s far right, and the Mail editor who permitted that front page is up there with Mosley and his ilk.

Kruger’s an Evangelical Christian. They are busy destroying the US and are now funding their brothers and sisters here. Look at the newest member of their Supreme Court, busily changing the law on Trump’s request. Christian? Really?

In the UK we have “postal votes”. Any registered voter can apply for one. My wife and I have had them for years as I worked in travel and was often overseas on election day.

I wish it was only water. Look at gas, electricity, railways, all of the PFI schemes. Neither governments or Treasury ever understand the difference between revenue expenditure (such as water workers salaries) and capital expenditure. Nor do gov’t fine for breaches of contract. Ban all board bonuses

I wonder who on earth they were referring to 😂😂😂
July 29, 2025 at 7:09 PM
Sadly true. I bet a significant % of them are from right wing parties. And seriously tainted in their views of people not 100% white. Their MAGA equivalents in the US have yet to realise that THEY are the immigrants.

I worked for a company with 2 outlets near LHR 40 years ago. Low level jobs only attracted Britons of Indian parentage. Your complaint to the Head Office will be filed in the bin. Which it deserves. Your racism defines you.

Overdue by months, not days. The (relatively old)Private Eye commentary highlighted the problem. It is not, nor has it ever been, anti semitic, to criticise the Israeli government run by Netanyahu and Settlers stealing lands owned by Palestinians for centuries. Ignore Israeli funded lawyers. LBD ✅

Perhaps Pearson might like to consider the implications of her words. If she were an immigrant she’d probably be arrested, charged and end up in prison or extradited. I guess as a Telegraph writer she has a measure of protection that certainly isn’t earned.

Some would think that with the referendum, the Brexit Act and living in the rectum of the worst US president in my lifetime Farage is a 3 time offender. Can we lock him up?
July 21, 2025 at 8:24 PM
Reform. The party of the hard of thinking. Including my neighbour, pilot at a German airline who voted for Brexit. Still a first officer at 51. Definite Reform supporter boasts about it. 🤮

Sadly true.

I cannot describe my admiration for you, and those alongside you. Thank you, from everyone who, like me, is too old to do more than express our support on BlueSky but trust me, we do care.
