Like a perfectly reasonable person the last day at my home in San Francisco was spent adoring our house spider for lunar New Year/Easter/Eostre/Valentine's day/St.Pat's. Who knows when I will be back but at least the spiders & my neighbours will enjoy it.

On my dentist's door in San Francisco at probably my last visit cause I'm not coming back to the USA unless I have to for the rest of the year/term/forever? Met with trans friends everyday many do resistance work. Hope overcoming fear.

My adult kid ended up sick on my visit so no NYE or museum visit NY day with them. I was a good parent & dropped off two meals at their flat. Gonna binge gay hockey players & journal on my one free day on this trip to the US. Not a bad way to start 2026 if I can't be with kin.

51 was a rough year but 52 is starting out better with my first sunset in the Yukon. Other than CBSA deciding to "random search" me after I didn't remove my wrist braces in the nexus line. She kept goading me but I was like enjoy your power trip with a crip I'm going to the aurora borealis.

I started use USians due to character limits but knowing it also makes covert racists out themselves is value add. How pathetic is a "journalist" saying language can't change & that it can't originate from bias & white supremacy. Also a reminder white trans folks can still be racist & biased

"celebrating" getting referrals to both neurologist & rheumatologist with two treats. Dubai chocolate croissant & my favourite tamarind candy-both way overpriced cause Vancouver but at least all my medical appointments are free. Also really mid tacos cause of this sign.

Sometimes selfcare over not knowing if you are ever going to be able to renew your US passport cause of blatant transphobia is lots of uni, picking up 1/2 duck at Chinatown BBQ on the way home & giving your taxi driver a big tip cause he just got his PR status in Canada & at least he's safe.

On November 5th, 2020 my twitter feed was flooded with the angel is gay- my intro to Supernatural & started watching from season 4 on Nov 6th. Being bored stuck in the USA during a pandemic motivated me too. found fanfic on Nov 23rd when I realize the gay declaration wasn't for another 11 seasons.

You know what I love? Having a fever & other reactions from flu/COVID vaccines & not being sure if I am hallucinating music or it's from the tropical beach movie being filmed across from my building in Vancouver in November. That's just a prep tent. They built a damn tiki bar with palm trees.

Its Thanksgiving in Canada, Indigenous people day in the USA. I live as the grandchild of a Jewish refugee & a Black grandfather but still a settler in both countries uninvited but seeking a "safer" life as a trans person wherever I can, trying to be a better guest for my time here than those before

One highlight for me was when I lost the stickers I brought to give away on Sat & then Sunday the lone vendor Fatima randomly encountered me because she found them & was going to take them back to the UK to try to give them to me next year. Beautiful random kindness #vancon #spncon
