The UK's Climate Change Act, with its statutory targets for reducing emissions, must not be scrapped. Climate change is the single biggest threat facing both people and nature, and we cannot protect and restore nature without tackling it. Targets are a vital tool, proven to drive action.

'Nature-based solutions offer a pathway to a more resilient and sustainable agricultural sector. But implementing them needs the right policies, incentives, and political leadership.'

The summer just gone was the warmest on record ☀️

More holistic, precautionary measures for our deep seas would not only protect biodiversity but would bring benefits for coastal communities and the wider Scottish economy.

We’re pleased that these long-awaited measures will soon be in place, as they will give our deep sea MPAs better protection. However, the measures announced do not match the scale of the biodiversity crisis or the poor state of our seas, and in some cases we would like to see protections go further.
