Scotland's nature is facing its own storm - bigger efforts are needed to help save it. SCCS member @wwfscotland.bsky.social has launched a new campaign, It's In Our Nature, calling for action to save our precious wild places and tackle climate change.

In Scotland we’re known for braving the cold, battling the wind and pretending it’s ‘taps aff’ weather at 12°C. But there’s one thing we won’t just tough out - losing Scotland’s wild places.

It’s in our nature to act. Sign our petition and stand up for nature: www.wwf.org.uk/scotland/202... ✏️

Fairer, greener, more equal: @jamie-livingstone.bsky.social at the end of #TaxJusticeScotland's conference says it’s time to turn ideas into action and deliver real change for people, public services and the planet.

Agree? Repost.

📢 This is a threat we won’t accept: abolishing the Climate Change Act (CCA) would harm our natural world, damage a thriving net zero economy, reverse significant progress, and be out of step with public and political opinion.

We’ve written an open letter to Badenoch to express our profound concern.
Climate Outreach are one of many major climate and nature organisations to express our grave and collective concern at Badenoch's threat to scrap the Climate Change Act.

Agriculture is one of the biggest sources of emissions in Scotland - nature-friendly farming could be a major part of the solution, with benefits for food producers, wildlife and the climate.

Right now just 5% of Scotland’s farm funding directly supports nature-friendly farming. That’s nowhere near enough.

Ahead of next year’s elections call on party leaders to commit to investing in a future where wildlife and farmers thrive 🚜 🐦🐝
