Took my boys there for a post GCSEs/A-levels treat last summer. So much to see, so easy to get around, so many nice things to eat. Have a brilliant time G!

I’ve done lawn bowls. Can’t believe it’s significantly more difficult.

Brilliant - will listen to that for sure Pete.

Saw Musical Youth on Razzmatazz when our school was invited to be part of the studio audience. (None more 80s eh).

Everyone went mad for them.

The other musical guest was Jermaine Jackson.

No-one went mad for him.

Absolutely, the data says to shutter the sports desk ahead of a two-year period including a home World Cup and home Olympics (plus home Winter Olympics in 2034).

The flood of overlapping sport/politics/business stories those events provide will definitely not be of interest to the Post’s readers.

I’ve played lawn bowls a couple of times and believe myself to be an expert on curling.

It’s also within the gift of the reporter to accept that as background or insist on something on the record.

The institution could rule that they will only accept the latter, but the journalist should also take responsibility for his/her own decision-making.

I believe the genre is dark academia…

Enjoyable saga about two postgraduate students who voyage into Hell to retrieve their PhD supervisor.

Like all fantasy, as daft or as serious as you want to make it. I was entertained.

Tremendous. 1987-94 was the greatest era in the history of popular music and I won’t hear different. All levelled by britpop of course…

Ha! Living here - it’s actually refreshing to have something that isn’t mining (as vital as that is to the town’s story).

It can be done (see link) but it takes years and has to happen at LA level.

The once-struggling mining town is now rivalling the historic city of York in visitor numbers.

Aye. I mean, I get why she’s narked off, but it’s today’s Bonnie Tylers who deserve more help.

Also - open question - how much would an artist expect to make from a 43-year-old track in a world without streaming?

Surely the problem isn’t artists like Tyler who, one assumes, made a shedload when having hits in the 80s, but the comparable artist now having hits now.
