#NJDevils need to learn to clear the zone. This reminds me of my kid in kindergarten soccer when the only rule was to kick it “that way” (towards the other goal).

I figured out the #NJDevils offensive problems. They aren’t going for the highlight-real Tic-Tac-Toe goals on breakaways. They’re trying for five passes, giving the defense time to get back, intercept the pass, and carry it the other way.

I don’t know how Markstrom earned second star in that game. He had his moments, but those moments recovered for his mistakes. He could’ve just as easily been the difference-maker if the game went the other way. That said, it was fun attending my first game of the season. #NJDevils

I used to think the dumbest hockey fans are the ones who sit in the front row and bang on the glass when something happens near them. I was wrong — it’s the ones who are in the SECOND row and bang on the glass when something happens near them. 🤦 #NJDevils

Has MSG networks been missing commercial breaks? This is the second #NJDevils game this season that I remember the announcers yammering for a long time and then see the ice crew shoveling snow.

I thought that might’ve been offsides on the zone entry, but I guess not. Chances of another reversal on a missed offsides/delayed penalty would be unlikely though. #Njdevils

@thgyoutube.bsky.social was absolutely right. ESPN doesn’t allow enough time between games and they’re caught trying to decide between showing a shootout win or a 900th career goal.
