“I suggest you not underestimate the staggering drawing power of the Garden State.”
I want to see them bring back PK Subban. He could be a player, a defensive coach, or a TV color commentator — I think he’d be an improvement in any of those roles.
December 16, 2025 at 10:57 PM
Possibly. We won’t know he’s back until he’s back. The team is very secretive in that way. (They also tend to rush people back when they’re not quite ready….)

I’m still trying to figure out why this team can’t save the first four shots against.
December 14, 2025 at 6:22 PM
I don’t want him as GM, but someone’s gotta pay attention to this stuff. Maybe not him, but somebody who can see the bigger picture.
December 14, 2025 at 6:02 PM
Going for that .500 SV% again.
December 14, 2025 at 5:54 PM
But honestly I think I’d like to have him in the booth. Dano is not good in that role.
December 13, 2025 at 8:35 PM
I’d take him for a PTO on defense right now.
December 13, 2025 at 7:41 PM
If I’m being honest, this was worse.
December 13, 2025 at 7:40 PM
Is it LAMB-ih-koh or La-MEEK-oh? Someone please settle this!
December 13, 2025 at 6:13 PM
3rd shot against.
December 13, 2025 at 6:04 PM
It could be something as simple as bad ice or bad skate sharpening. I really think there are parts of hockey ops that have been neglected.
December 13, 2025 at 5:01 PM
I’m almost serious when I say I want Lou Lamoriello to step in as President of Hockey Ops. Scrutinize everything: strength & conditioning, ice maintenance, skate sharpening, goalie coaching. Nobody’s job is safe except for Arlette.
December 13, 2025 at 4:55 PM
“Some time” is a real problem in Keefe’s world. This is a problem — is it strength and conditioning? I don’t know, but it’s happening too often to be just bad luck.

I didn’t say IF he would move the needle, but HOW. Meier is 29 years old, Quinn is 26. Would the team trading him have any desire to get older?
December 13, 2025 at 3:46 AM
I’m sure it was the cap. Fitz would’ve had to offer prospects and throw in dead salary weight. No way was he trading Hischier or Bratt, and I doubt Vancouver wanted Hamilton, Palat, or Markstrom. Meier would be a toss-up whether he’s included, but not sure how that might move the needle.

EXACTLY

The big “yikes” for me is the $6m/year.
December 12, 2025 at 1:02 AM
Hard to disagree with you on that. In fact, I can’t. Marky can be great. Allen can be great. Blackwood can be great. Wedgewood can be great. But when they’re with the Devils, often they’re not.

What do they all have in common?
December 12, 2025 at 1:01 AM
I’m half inclined to unload him, but can’t we try firing Rogalski first?
December 12, 2025 at 12:40 AM
I explicitly remember Sal, Dano, and myself all yelling “No!” around the time of the Dillon turnover, all at the same time, and I’m sure they put their heads in their hands, as did I. That’s the line that stands out to me.

…make that happen, but I fear certain approaches that treat medical care as a commodity will have a detrimental effect.

… and that my doctor is available when I need them. I also need the pharmacies and device manufacturers to continue innovating, developing better drugs and more intelligent devices. They must remain motivated to excel and compete, not just to work a 9-to-5 job, then go home. I don’t know how we…
December 10, 2025 at 11:44 PM
I think we need a discussion rather than these simple questions. But what I fear most with a single-payer system is patient choice and medical innovation. I’ve been Type 1 diabetic since 1981. Care is self-driven and is a lifestyle, not simply prescriptive. I demand choice in who my doctor is …
