A sneak peek of my revived SEA SHANTY FUNNIES series featuring the public-domain Popeye that I am writing and illustrating. I did some test comic strips earlier this year to assess if I wanted to continue. I do. I think there seems to be some genuine interest and I'm having fun.

Got outside my comfort zone today and joined other like-minded Americans in public to peacefully express my First Amendment rights to stand up for democracy and stand against an authoritarian president here in Springfield, Illinois at our state capitol. I felt this was important. #nokings

It is a shame that Brian Epstein had the cameras turned off for this performance. I do have in my personal collection two unofficial EPs of the 1964 and 1965 NME shows.

Cleaning and performing some maintenance on my Cerwin-Vega 200 SE speakers. I re-coned them 9 years ago to give them new life. I’ve owned these for 37 years since I was a teenager. Funny. It struck me that they’ve been with me longer than my two marriages and all my relationships combined.

Went to a blues show tonight here in Springfield with my wife Jennifer to see Keb' Mo' in concert. It was a great show. I’ve been a fan of his for about 30 years and this was my first time hearing him play live. We got to see him play up close and I took this picture with my iPhone. #blues #concert
