A sneak peek of my revived SEA SHANTY FUNNIES series featuring the public-domain Popeye that I am writing and illustrating. I did some test comic strips earlier this year to assess if I wanted to continue. I do. I think there seems to be some genuine interest and I'm having fun.

Got outside my comfort zone today and joined other like-minded Americans in public to peacefully express my First Amendment rights to stand up for democracy and stand against an authoritarian president here in Springfield, Illinois at our state capitol. I felt this was important. #nokings

Harvard has set an example for other higher-ed institutions - rejecting an unlawful and ham-handed attempt to stifle academic freedom, while taking steps to make sure students can benefit from an environment of intellectual inquiry, rigorous debate and mutual respect. Let’s hope others follow suit.

I see it. I have lived it. 83 years ago, the U.S. government turned upon a group of its own citizens and residents and sent them to internment camps without due process. I was there among them. American fascism is back. It is here. It is now.
