Great all encompassing article, @apetrielli.bsky.social, you’ve hit several nails on the head here. I’m just not so confident this management group has the oomph to pull it off. We can all hope for miracles but alas, this is the Leafs we’re talking about and Leafs fans are meant to suffer.

I just think it's easy to point out that virtually every major city on Earth that has implemented it - over voiced objections - has seen drastic improvements in commute times, and the objections rapidly disappear.
Imagining your own city as some miraculous special case that is distinct is odd.

I live in a place that gets a ton of snow and I don’t have an AWD/4WD vehicle not that there’s anything wrong with that ;). It’s a choice I guess but I’ve never needed it.

Why is AWD standard? Who buys an ‘SUV’ this size and expects AWD? Is it that great of a percentage?

I agree with Pronger, 1 of the big boys has to go, no trade clause or not. It should’ve been Marner before his kicked in but that ship has sailed. They could get a ton of picks and assets and retool. I’d keep Willy, and I hate to say it, trade Matthews. I’d also trade Rielly, 13 years is a long time
