Many CPTSD survivors have had our trauma responses-- which are REFLEXES-- framed as "defiance," & used an an excuse to ostracize or punish us. Which is why it's so, so, so important in recovery to be crystal clear that we are NOT "choosing" trauma responses to be "difficult."

Once depression gets bad enough it truly is a tar pit, it’s so easy to give up on yourself if you’re convinced it’s what you deserve, everything falls behind and piles up. it’s cyclical and crushing and ppl who don’t understand call it laziness and you internalize it, and you feel so fkn worthless

It feels strange that after years of depression, I’m finally feeling better just as the world is getting so much worse. I almost feel guilty about it. But I shouldn’t. Feeling hopeless is exactly what they want.

Hello! Sandybell is unironically, in my opinion, the most underrated anime of all time. Went into it thinking it was a kid's show and was instead blown away like a stack of papers by the immaculate plot, writing and turns the plot took

More or less impossible to get hold of these days and I don't think anyone's ever made any sort of English translation, official or fan. It's only ever been available on DVD in Sweden and Italy, which is a shame, as it's a totally charming show!

I don't know if it counts, but the live action CASSHERN from 2004 goes hard af: a nigh-operatic dieselpunk meditation about genocide continuing to defile its victims even after death, giving rise to perhaps the greatest on-screen Magneto all but in name. The melodrama absolutely masticates the set.
