My top artists lists makes more sense. The only person I’m surprised isn’t here is Hayley Williams, Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party was never going to make the album list due to its unusual release. Weather Station here because she was new to me, so I checked out her back catalogue.

My top albums per Spotify seem to be dominated by albums that racked up more listens simply by being released earlier in the year, and as this list is based on time spent it over rewards long albums (The Weather Station) while downgrading short albums (PinkPantheress)

I felt like it was a strange year for music, but my top songs made sense - dominated by lead singles teasing upcoming albums by some of my faves, they all got heavy repeat plays

BBC, whilst in some context you might be barely acceptable to refer to Coldplay as ‘rock’, at no time should they be referred to as ‘hellraisers’. Especially idiotic in the context of a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne.
