Boardgames, books, films. NFL (Bengals). The Island (IW). Ex-mtg judge.
He / him.
Is there any chance he could have suffered an injury with a rehab period so long it would take him to the point where his 2027 salary became guaranteed?

I did enjoy your repeated references to trending sounds on your preview podcast with @benjaminsolak.bsky.social that meant absolutely nothing to him :)

I was scared you might get some angry Irish complaints!

As much as the UK does indeed love CMAT she is actually Irish (wasn’t sure if ‘a UK sensation’ was meant to imply she was popular here or that she is British)

When I saw the new mayor posting about his transition team I didn’t realise he meant mtf and ftm

Jingle Bell Heist (Netflix 2025) was a fun caper movie. The romance seemed tacked on because you can’t have a Xmas film without the leads kissing, but everything else worked.

“You don’t have to repost everybody who quotes your story” wrote me, in this post.

My Secret Santa (Netflix 2025) was an unmemorable Xmas film that didn't do too much wrong or right. The writing was just too uneven and the plot contrivances too contrived.

A Merry Little Ex-Mas (Netflix, 2025) lost me almost immediately with a supporting character who was supposed to be comic relief with a bad British accent and a Harry Potter obsession, didn’t watch any further.

My top artists lists makes more sense. The only person I’m surprised isn’t here is Hayley Williams, Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party was never going to make the album list due to its unusual release. Weather Station here because she was new to me, so I checked out her back catalogue.

That list misses three of my favourite albums of the year. Rosalia and Stella Donnelly released during November, and I honestly expected Billionaire by Kathleen Edwards to be there.

My top albums per Spotify seem to be dominated by albums that racked up more listens simply by being released earlier in the year, and as this list is based on time spent it over rewards long albums (The Weather Station) while downgrading short albums (PinkPantheress)

It loses about £0.5 million each year and technically the Denman funds are restricted (so they’re limited on what they can be used for)

We had that at our work too, it was so dumb. They had to put a notice one the firm intranet to tell everyone it was legit because the original emails looked so phishy
