I always describe it as having two different pains. One is the constant ache, then there's the stabby pain which comes in waves. The ache for me can be the worst, as I especially get it in my hips, so sitting hurts like hell, and you feel like your bones are grinding together. 😖

I've tried to explain the pain multiple times to men. The best description I've found is it's like having your insides cut out with and ice cream scoop, after being kicked in the back by a horse.

I think you just need to hammer home to him that you have your own struggles. You will try as much as possible to do what you can, but sometimes you can't, and if that's a problem for him he needs to look at paying someone to come in a clean one a week.
