Heard yesterday that one of my best friends died on the 24th. I feel like there's a sucking chest wound where a part of myself has been scooped out.

I feel so fortunate that nothing was left unsaid between us, but I thought there would be more time. I already miss her so much.

this movie was so fun lol, i know they still make sci-fi movies where it's just a corny premise like "what if there was illegal cloning" or "what if a robot went crazy" but contemporary Future Design is all so slick and tasteful, this was hip-deep in late 90s pomo, brushed metal and metallic fabrics

you know it's the near future because the clone assassins have cool bob haircuts and smoky eye

I forgot how much 2000-era sci-fi featured Cool Future Helicopters. I remember when Metrotown used to have the holographic fish display,

i'm watching The 6th Day (2000) and it is the most Vancouver-spotting movie I've seen in a long time (and I watched Deadpool II a couple weeks ago).

Tinseltown, Stanley Park, T&T, Metrotown, SFU (of course), Central VPL, and this is just the first half hour.

Being hungover sucks but there is a kind of middle ground where you're a little messed up but it also serves to remind you that you had a good time the night before

I'm a few chapters into Stephen Graham Jones' "The Buffalo Hunter Hunter" and it's got me absolutely hooked. Multiple narrators, each with their own unique and compelling voice, weaving a spooky mystery from over a century ago... really excited about this book.

Maybe I'll do some fan art later...?

Some real "Scott Pilgrim in Ramona's Bag" energy here

first of all, there -is- nudity, second of all, there is no sexual suggestiveness here. it is a classical sculpture that is like 2500 years old. not that people weren't total freaks back then too, but still, this isn't that.

Me after playing Hades 2: "that guy does NOT look like Prometheus at all. Where's his cool haircut, his impressive torso?"

My @simonroy.bsky.social collection grows. What a handsome volume! Not pictured here, the gold on the edges of the pages. Very tasty!

My phone's weather app is so funny, I open it up and a fashion model in immaculate drapey clothing saunters across this knoll to gaze at the foreboding sea

The cool thing about art is you can just do something very quick without thinking or letting yourself use an eraser and then you end up with some fun ideas

Anyway I'm not boosting the contrast on these because this is the light I drew them in 😅 ✍️

"Nothing amazing happens here. And you get used to that, used to a world where everything is ordinary."

Hope you can still find one!

You and Linnea Sterte are among the few comic artists who can get me to shell out on new work sight-unseen.

In other news need more bookshelves:

I've been a @decassette.bsky.social head for years. Searched multiple comic shops for World Heist in the summer but it was sold out everywhere- ended up finding it on the @peow.bsky.social EU website when preorders for Garden of Spheres came out. Plus I could order eX.Mag 2!

Anyway, very excited!
