I made a new batch of marinated feta after work today. But I forgot to put the garlic in. I’ll try remember tomorrow.

Free croissant at work. I won’t say no to that. It was nice 😊

One of my favourite photos I’ve ever taken, as much for the subject as for the composition. Miss you, Aya.

But by the end it was transcendent. The flavour really deepened. It’s like after spending time with someone you really get to know them a lot better, and the soup was like that. You really wanted to be friends with the soup by the end #おいしい #ラーメン#oishii #tasty #ramen

The soup was interesting. At first it wasn’t making much impact. It was nice, but it was just like this attitude of I’m here and I’m just chilling, and if you’re here and want to chill with me, that’s cool bro. It wasn’t flashy, it wasn’t a flavour punch like you get with a pork tonkotsu.

I went to a Ramen event yesterday, where it was a lamb Ramen on the menu. I’m not sure what the noodles were, by the colour I thought they were egg noodles, but they didn’t really taste like egg noodles. I couldn’t really tell what they were. The lamb was delicious, as you would expect lamb to be.

This is the extent of the damage at our place. Seems like we escaped the worst of it, unless there’s more to come.

I was in a mood yesterday, so I bought some Aldi Froot Loops as a cyclone treat, and they’re not as glad I remember them. A bit disappointing.

Hoping the rain holds off so I can fit a movie in tonight…

If you’re at Morningside, and you go to Grano e Caffe for lunch or dinner, I do recommend the Karage Sandwich. It was pretty good. I don’t think you need to go out of your way for it, since you can get excellent Karage chicken pretty much everywhere, but if you’re there, it’s not a bad way to go.

Watched The Karate Kid (1984) with Richard & Miriam and a couple of their kids tonight. Poor P had to go watch Wicked so she missed out. I know which I prefer. And now spending the rest of the evening drawing scales, and that’s alright with me 😁
