Skating into the Light - a Solstice Mandala #collage #mandala #solstice
An old fashioned woman is ice skating in the middle of the mandala. She’s wearing long black ruffled petticoats and skirt, along with a fur trimmed cape, muff and black hat with a red flower. She separates the dark and light rings on either side as she skates towards the light. On the dark side 3 half rings of grays, bark texture and dark pine trees on a mountain side. Dreaming of Butterflies at Christmastime Monday Mandala #collage #mandala
A red circle with a homemade felt Christmas tree design is at the center of this Mandala. In one corner - a bright blue rectangle with a picture of a girl wearing a red stocking cap who’s looking up at a monarch butterfly. A tribute to our last flower that kept blooming near the house. After some heavy frost and snow, she has now gone the way of all flowers at this time of year. #collage

On Page 1 of this two page art journal collage, we can see half of the wreath that’s at the center. A group of bottle brush trees in fall colors are at the bottom of the wreath. Two vintage turkey planters and a flying bird sticker are on the side of the wreath. A smiling young woman, sits to the left side with a circle of bright red and orange leaves behind her head. She’s wearing a tan sweater and black boots. On page 2 of this two part art journal collage we see the other half of the wreath, with bottle brush trees and a circle of a fireplace with brightly burning logs.
