Personally, I'd ditch Delgado and Fernando and switch them out with Lou Whitaker and Keith Hernandez.

#50YearsAgo in the Daily News - October 10, 1975. Bill Conlin on Paul Owens making off season deals at the World Series. Key takeaways: the #Phillies never got any of the guys he mentions, Bill really wanted to see Lefty go, the Downtown Ollie Brown shout out.

The league goes back to 1919. Jimmie Foxx won 5 MVP awards in 1934, 1935, 1936, 1938 and 1939. During that time, the Phillies won three World Series titles.

Aaron Judge is objectively the Most Valuable Player in all of baseball. As much as I'd love to see Cal be the MVP he just isn't, and that's no slight on him or what he did this season. I just hope my Mariner friends don't get apocalyptic about it when Judge wins the award.

I've also got Pete Rose for his entire career, so here he is circa '66, as well as rookie first baseman George "Boomer" Scott. The cap on Pete looks fake, but the Boomer looks perfect!

On whatifsports, I have a progressive league Phillies team that is currently between the 1966 and 1967 seasons. Two of my big stars are Billy Williams and Ron Santo, so I asked ChatGPT to show me them in 1966 Phillies uniforms and here's what I got!
