It was the Tax Code that drove a strong middle class in the 50'ies and 60'ies. Profits had a high tax so businesses invested back into growing their business because those funds avoided getting taxed "away". And far fewer bs deductions allowed.

I grew up in the '50s and '60s, when the middle class was a burgeoning force in America. That wasn't an accident. There are ways to use laws that tilt fortune one way or another. Simply put, Reagan's "rising tide" is a failure.

I think you grossly misunderstand. The overwhelming majority of Americans support measures to curb mass shootings, even those who own guns or support the right to. The government is simply bought and paid for by the NRA and the firearms industry, and as long as that's the case, no change will happen
