It was the Tax Code that drove a strong middle class in the 50'ies and 60'ies. Profits had a high tax so businesses invested back into growing their business because those funds avoided getting taxed "away". And far fewer bs deductions allowed.

I grew up in the '50s and '60s, when the middle class was a burgeoning force in America. That wasn't an accident. There are ways to use laws that tilt fortune one way or another. Simply put, Reagan's "rising tide" is a failure.

The government is simply bought and paid for by the NRA and the firearms industry, and as long as that's the case, no change will happen
