There's a strange loyalty/complacency that developed around a lot of products and services that people view them as status symbols or view it as teams.

It's goofy having people swear how much they hated a website for over a decade but get bothered when somebody wants to stop using it.
Personally - I'm happy there has been so much discussion about people wanting to start up their own websites. I'd love to see a broader more creative internet again.
