It’s summer. Which means my gregarious stepson is sitting in my office with me coloring while he plays Pokémon rap battles on his Alexa. You haven’t lived until you’ve tried to edit with Pikachu in your ear.

Remember to give yourself some grace. It doesn’t matter if it’s 4k words or 4 words, they’re still words on a page. And even if you, like me, haven’t written a damn thing all day that’s ok too. There is no timeline for creativity.
