It did, yes - but in post-war Poland a lot of such places were taken over by the state and repurposed. Usually they only fell into disrepair once they got into private hands at the end of communism. Then the owner can just let it fall apart and nobody can do anything about it...

An interesting choice, these Agfas aren't very popular and can be a bit of an acquired taste but the people who like them, *really* like them. Myself included.

Well, film does inherently have some grain (and a good scan is ruthless in showing it). But it's not necessarily a bad thing, most people who shoot film like the character and don't necessarily aim for technical perfection.

In general or these photos in particular? This is a bit of an extreme example as it's a very expired film developed in a "wrong" process* and a bit underexposed - each one of those things makes the grain worse.
*(this is a film stock intented for slides, but developed as a negative)

As someone who recently bought two cameras with battery contact wire rotten by corrosion... yeah.

The cycle continues... 😉 Just know that you're missed around here and people do notice when you disappear.

I only know about it because of an old Techmoan video, though ironically he's not even much of a camera guy

‪According to what I've read now, in 'A' it should work as shutter priority - one speed and setting the aperture automatically. So if you've been getting good results, apparently the meter works!

Wait, I thought these were auto exposure only (in any case selenium cells don't use batteries, that I know for sure 😉)

A Paramat! Does it work? I'm constantly thinking about getting one of those Agfa half-frames but I'm hesitant to trust an old selenium cell for automatic exposure.

I thought the overly minimalist redesign craze was over, but apparently not

You're really on a roll lately - one great photo after another. Just fantastic work. After a while of quiet "liking" I had to finally say something.
