It's not that the human brain is incapable of vision-like mental imagery: for instance lucid dreams can be very vivid, detailed and realistic, as can be Charles Bonnet syndrome hallucinations in late-blind people. Could we somehow harness that?

The idea is nice, but I'm not sure how much benefit gesturing gives over active vision with smart glasses, moving to and fro (or toggling zoom) and letting AI only recognize items somewhat near the center of the camera view.

The combination of "raw vision" with "semantic vision" provides intuitive feedback while at the same time providing a user incentive for not getting dumbed down by the use of AI.
