The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. It’s a wonderful book that describes beauty in a way that forced me to keep adding details in my imagination. I have learned a lot from reading and re-reading her work, and I am trying to use all of it for evil (to write horror).

The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. It’s a wonderful book that describes beauty in a way that forced me to keep adding details in my imagination. I have learned a lot from reading and re-reading her work, and I am trying to use all of it for evil (to write horror).
I miss drawing little patterns. It was so therapeutic. Especially seeing the progress, chunk by chunk, until the whole thing is done. But then I had to go and realize that it was a metaphor for game design, and now I have to work on things I actually care about like a coward.
Another rustle in the bushes has you raising your knife. But any fear is gone when what you find is a slime slowly rolling your way. It bounces into your leg and stops. You pet it and are - as always - surprised that it's dry to the touch. Silky. The slime purrs and heads for the half-filleted fish.

Watched Frankenstein. Liked it a lot, but the story felt kinda rushed. I think next time we should give Guillermo a few more hours. Also, the creature should have been fully naked.
