Nothing notable on my local ballot other than a School Committee race, but I got out and voted anyway. Hoping that my friends in CA, NJ, VA, PA and NYC, where there are bigger issues at stake, will get out and make good progressive choices.

R.I.P. Terrance Stamp. He became famous as General Zod in Superman, but he was a brilliant actor who I've loved in many other films, especially his amazing performance as the aging drag queen Bernadette in The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.

Some folks may also remember Brother Blue as Merlin from the 1981 film Knightriders starring Ed Harris. It's a story about a Ren Faire troupe that jousts on motorcycles. It wasn't a great movie, but it struck a chord with certain nerds who grew up going the Ren Faires and SCA events.

Discovered today that Cambridge added a plaque to Harvard Square honoring the storytellers Brother Blue and Ruth Hill and my heart got a bit lighter. I chatted with him a few times and he was an absolutly delightful human who encouraged people to fill the world with love, art, and stories.

You’ve inherited a movie theater, what’s your first double feature?

A double feature of Peter O'Toole comedies: How to Steal a Million (1966) & My Favorite Year (1982)

Two ideas that jump to mind would be one of the flags (either the cat or reversing the color on the merskeletons or demon) or Ed & Stede's feet. Some OFMD stickers as examples.

Tessa is currently resting her head on my hand and purring loudly, so I can't move or I might be in a "JAIL FOR FATHER!" situation.

Bonus: My four favorite films with fewer than *10k* logs on Letterboxd. These took some digging, but they're all great films. @letterboxd.social

Roz Chast drew a cartoon defining the four food groups as regular, company, remorse, and silly. I've found those categories work really well.
