@bsky.app we're really waiting for the Android version of Flashes - lots of people ready to sign up the minute you release it... I need something good to #replaceInstagram with, so please 🙏🏼 we need to stick it to the Zuck. And the Musk.

This kind of thing keeps popping up for me. I've looked into becoming an end of life doula before, but abandoned the quest mostly due to financial reasons. I wonder whether I should pick this up again... After all coincidences don't happen coincidentally.
Discussing death and dying is a topic many people avoid, but it holds significant importance for various reasons.

Found this on Pinterest and thought I'd share, because healthy boundaries, especially with work, are a good thing.

The strangest frost phenomenon I ever did see. So beautiful and cold, and fragile, and alien...

What keeps me sane and functional is the knowledge that we humans might eradicate ourselves, but nature will go on regardless - just like the fungi in Tshernobyl noming on radioactive waste and actually thriving. We're an unfortunate blip in history.

The thing is good people are usually too busy doing good so they don't shout about it - bad people tend to proverbially sit on their hands and do nothing except shout about how other people should be doing more or different, etc. The more noise, the less positive action.
Spending time online can leave you with a warped view of the world and that's a shame. Good people have always outnumbered bad people and things generally get better. Hold onto that x

We're past asking who's causing it, we need to stop and start damage control. Too many people are already suffering around the planet - California is just what we're shown in the west.

Thinking about the CA wildfires and how Nestlé has been pumping water out of the ground to sell at a bagillion% profit because they think water isn't a human right and nobody in a position of power has enough integrity to fill a thimble...

Happy New Year, new app.
One of my goals for this year is to A) waste less time on social media, and B) when I do waste time on social media be clever about it and do it in the right places - no h8, no toxic nonsense, just gardening and good people. Let's support each other on 2025 🌻💛

Okay, do we actually work with #hashtag on here or is that onky a bird app and meta thing? Or am I just not #doingitright ?

In #Germany we have a #saying 'Der Krug geht so lange zum Wasser bis der Henkel bricht'
I think this is a good #metaphor for the world right now: there will come a moment when something snaps and things will get ugly.

Okay, personal #hottake of the day: #workaholics should not give advice on #worklifebalance - my dad was a workaholic and the one thing he regrets now is that he didn't spend more time with us when we were kids.

Urgh... it sucks so much when you got yourself all hyped up for something and then you get a no. That's why I avoid getting hyped up in the first place and people think I'm dead inside.

So. New app, new service, who dis?
Hope this really is an alternative to the whackjob that is the bird app - would like to see a proper alternative to IG, too, though. Something that really works for small creators and artists...
