Winter themed Wood Elves for #warhammer #theoldworld
Not sure how to base them yet, but I'm really pleased with the frosted look on their clothes. Basically the army I always wanted as a kid but couldn't afford! Done as a crafty date with @snazzygoose.bsky.social

Happy Halloween! If you're looking for a scary film recommendation me and @snazzygoose.bsky.social just watched Onibaba (1964) it's so beautiful and unsettling.

Four books to get to know me!

Crafty date! We're painting and building Battletech mechs for Flames of Orion. Using my oestrogel pump as a holder for painting mechs is perhaps the most stereotypically trans woman thing I've ever done but it works 😅

In case you think I'm making it up, the evidence below. Surely an editor somewhere should've thought this looks pathetic right?

...absolutely wrecked by dragons, including the incredibly cute 'dawdlers' pictured here. Then they escape LA after a pointless scene with the FBI and are driving to the border with Mexico only to get captured and wake up in Mordor??? Ending on a pretty cool snake vs dragon fight /2

Just watched Dragon Wars (2007) with @snazzygoose.bsky.social

A film so baffling it's hard to not be entertained. It opens on a cool wuxia film nested inside 3 layers of flashback, but after that it becomes a slog until the midway point where the scenes stick around long enough to enjoy LA get /1

Kitbashed a Mordheim Pit-Fighter! I'll get better with green stuff one day I'm sure 😅 this is a reminder that the Kairic Acolyte kit is so cool for kitbashing.

Picture came out sideways??? Anyway ran my first Mythic Bastionland tonight! A one on one session, the Mask Knight fell to the Hound but his squire returned as the Hive Knight, stronger and with a squire of his own. The master has been avenged! Hoping to pick up new players for next week...

It's #makeaterriblecomicday and I'm coming off tonsillitis so I've had an open day to mess about with comics! I don't want to go back to work tomorrow argh

Today was a craft date with @snazzygoose.bsky.social! I gifted her a kitbashed maiden for her to put on a horse for her Bretonnian army, whilst I made a treeman for a Wood Elves army with air-drying clay. His arms need more work and I want to add arrows and axes to show battle damage at some stage!

I went and made one for Corum! Much happier with how this one turned out. I might like to revisit him in the future, I want a battle pose with the full fluttering scarlet cape and sword! A project for another day, now I need to eat 😅

My Electric Bastionland game went really well yesterday so today I'm taking it easy. Here's an Elric of Melnibone (I'm not great at proportions, shadows or watercolours but I'm happy with him! Corum is my favourite champion tho, I should do him next...)

Old School Essentials West March campaign needs more time to cook, so today is an Electric Bastionland one shot! Players are train crew on the Disorient Express on its journey through The Underground, surreal shenanigans will ensue!

The #Mordheim board continues to expand! @snazzygoose.bsky.social has begun her side of thee board with a cool building set into a hill! Marshes are yet to come...
March 5, 2025 at 6:30 PM
I've had Mordheim brain-worms for building terrain. The Chapel is going to have some scaffolding for characters to access the roof! GF says she feels like building some Marshy Ruins so we'll see how the boards line up. In the meantime I'm going to look into foot-knights and femme heads...

I liked @mrsplatypus.bsky.social idea about #OSRpositivity so I'm sharing something I'm working on for an OSE fantasy city-crawl idea I've had bouncing around! Be warned it's 1. Unfinished 2. Unbalanced 3. Very silly. Share your ideas for Discworld-esque fantasy crimes here!

Just watched Duel to the Death (1982)! (I'm on holiday I get to watch a lot of films 😅)
What an amazing film!!! Incredible wire work and sword-play. The plot has twists and turns and (admittedly brief but still welcome) meditations on the pointlessness of competitive violence. Watch it! Be inspired!

Just watched Goodbye Lenin! Beautiful film, I went in expecting more comedy and it was funny, but not in the 'gags every other second' kind of way I have come to expect from other comedy films. Family reconciliation is something I'm discovering I'm weak to now I'm on a proper T-blocker lol. /1

The witch and her potion! It's alarmingly blue 😅 I'm about to have so much mana you people don't even know

#poetry it's my girlfriend's birthday today! I wrote this in her card, she likes geese ❤️ use the alt text to read it in full!

Loved the Ray Harryhausen monsters and supporting cast. The giant walrus battle is a stand out scene but the Minoton is a major missed opportunity! It spends most of the film rowing a Jules Verne-esque trireme which is as cool as it sounds, but you definitely feel he should've had a full fight. /2

Just watched - Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger!
I recently watched Golden Voyage of Sinbad (1973) and I feel it's a much better film, but the problems with the sequel are mostly a rushed production and poor casting for the leads. If you love old school D&D they're a must-watch! /1

Found poetry part 2! First poems use a map from the Science Museum in London, the second is built out of a national geographic article about Da Vinci's notebooks. Again use Alt Text to read these they can be hard on the ol' eyes
