Yes, I agree. That’s definitely there. I was also really moved by seeing the way the game incorporates the idea of aging, and legacy. The idea that time changes us, and no one lives forever. I think it focuses players on heroic deeds, more than endless progress and acquisition.

Love to make a game where your three classes are entirely randomly selected and the only way you can exert any control over the process is deciding if you want to transition or not when you roll a girl one.

The Goldfinch is also like this, the author not having a clue how men think, but I am absolutely willing to let her run riot because she is astounding at stuff like e.g. what it is like to walk into an antiques shop. She takes two pages to tell you about the granular detail, and it’s all great.
I liked the Secret History a lot but I thought basically all of the characters were assholes all along, including the main character, who - and I don’t want to be mean - was very, very obviously a woman’s idea of how men think.

No one can be surprised by the rank hypocrisy of Murdoch's 'Trump is a feminist hero' and 'Ending Roe v Wade was right' Times. But worth noting the difference between when it gets what it wants from the judiciary and when it doesn't.

From scenario design to non-diegetic information, I bring a sort of character-tailored play to the table that flies in the face of the classic OSR blorb principles.

The idea the EQUALITY ACT makes illegal trans inclusive practices that pre date it is so farcical it's scary and yet that's the reality apparent to the supreme court
The WI has been trans inclusive since the 70s, before I was born. Do you see who in this scenario was innocently minding their own business, coming to their own arrangements locally? Do you see who is forcefully imposing themselves and their demands upon others, via threats.
