I always hated this pro-ai argument, and it literally just hit me why. And this might be my "too woke" take. They argue that "its going to happen so we should just accept it" "Nothing is going to stop it" "we should ignore the people refusing it"

Its a fucking rapist mentality.

Clair Obscur Expedition 33 is proof to me that AI will punch a hole clean through the entire art spectrum because as soon as it was used in something that made you feel something, 90% of so called critics went out of their way to go "well I think it's acceptable in this case"

Artists will keep being replaced and people will keep pretending to be outraged and then something will be released that makes them sad but In A Meaningful Way and they'll go "oh but it was only for" and it'll turn out it was only for a job that was previously done by a person.

Art paysites can ban you if they think the 30 year old woman you drew topless has boobs that don't reach D-cup (the size of consent) but I see ads with oiled up Gwen Tennyson every day.

I "love" how someone on Reddit was like "well duh, you should've run it in a VM with nothing accessible to it except your project, silly".

The whole article is insane, but this here is perhaps this is the best demonstration of how much they have apparently allowed their minds to get warped by their own creation.

(Contrast this with the notorious RCT discovery that AI actually slows down productivity.)

It's supposed to be EU-wide between all payment providers since October, but don't know how well the full roll-out of this is going: finance.ec.europa.eu/news/new-eu-...
New EU rules make instant euro payments faster and safer
Both consumers and businesses are now able to send and receive payments instantaneously, around the clock, giving them more control over their finances.
