This is a direct challenge to the power of the courts. If Trump can defy the courts and strand anyone they want in an el Salvadoran gulag for the rest of their lives, we're done as a country. We're a week or two away from seeing if Trump succeeds in defying the court. 2/n

No. What I am saying gerrymandering creates "safe" districts and "safe" districts helps create extreme political figures. If you need an example from the left - AOC won in "safe" district by primary and by being to the left of the 20-year incumbent.

There is no center. Gerrymandering and single choice voting for candidates primaried by extremist conventions make sure they don't represent us. This will lead to "left of the left" next wave IF Trump relinquishes power. (And "right of the right" wave after that, like it happened before.)

There is one part of Atlas Shrugged that stands out of everything else: the description of the fate of electrical motor company where socialism was implemented by the new owners and what came out of it. The rest is not believable and boring.
