The list goes on and on. (I need to write a full article about it). The GOP is governing like a party that never expects to face a competitive election again, and when you look at all the options they have on the table, yeah, that's a reasonable assumption on their parts.

Local and state election boards nullifying elections and throwing it to the house, Refusing to certify the election in the House and Senate, Vance refuses to do a Pence, etc...

Uh-huh. And you think voting will work? Sorry, but we passed the event horizon on January 20th, and about all I can do is convince people of that fact. Maybe the US will disintegrate, and some people will still get to live in a democracy with rights, instead of none of us.

Eventually, the system breaks as people, and the pro-bono legal agencies out there, don't have the money or lawyers left to defend everyone. We've seen people obeying in advance all the time, and taking the much easier route is just human nature.

This is probably the end of freedom of speech and expression in the US.

Burning a flag is inciting a riot. Insulting Trump or a Republican is inciting a riot. Ditto blasphemy or being trans in public. Every action becomes a federal felony if the DOJ doesn't like it.

Please educate me: how do hospitals get paid for treating people who have no way to pay? Sounds like racist BS though.

Also: hospitals are required to treat people until they're stabilized. Triage happens. If two people show up, one with a UTI and one w/a MI, second will get treated first.

This is the most accurate depiction of 70s vintage American cars ever. My father owned a 74 Vega. It's battery exploded all over him in the garage, and then the engine blocked followed shortly after in 1977 with <30k miles on it. The hulk was towed out of our driveway, never to move again.

If it is medical treatment, you cannot logically square blocking bans on conversion therapy based on the Skrmetti decision.

SCOTUS will anyway, but the decision is going to be absolutely tortured Calvinball.

ADF is trying to have it both ways. They say conversion therapy is "just speech," but also that it's medical treatment that has an impact. It can't be both. If it's medical treatment, it can and should be regulated, and we know from the mental health consequences that the speech is not mere words.

I missed this somehow. My life has been pretty busy. But, I would absolutely put this in the category of politically motivated violence.

However, neither the big name media or the WH will breathe a word of it because of who did it.

A MAGA teenager was spurned by a teen girl so he sent pizza to her home to intimidate her. The police ignored it.

Then, he saw she mocked Charlie Kirk so he murdered her and her friend by ramming his truck into them at 70mph while they were riding their bikes.

He's now charged with murder.

Unknown. But, she didn't display reactivity or a high "chase" drive or leash pulling to get at other dogs when I tested her, and she's pretty small for a husky mix, so there's a decent chance she'd learn to leave kitties alone.

I visited Breezy / Scratch today in Modesto, and she needs a home. I did all sorts of behavioral tests on her, and she's going to be a great companion: she just needs some training. Please, someone give her a home before I do. I can't afford a divorce. #BG3
