For Christmas I received Similo Wild Animals, Soda Jerk should be arriving next week, and my husband got Azul. Played a few games of Similo and I’m really looking forward to playing it at a higher count!

Played Too Many Bones with friends yesterday. First time in a while any of us had played - definitely still a challenge. Two encounters, including the final boss, were almost a TPK.

Finished our final session 2 combat in Elder Scrolls. As predicted, we easily defeated our foes. I dunno - not challenging is kind of…dull. Might try a very different class next time.
Then went to a friend’s and taught a couple of folks how to play Castles of Burgundy. Love that game!

I was thinking we might stop playing Elder Scrolls for the rest of 2025 when we’re done with this scenario since we’ve been playing a lot. But we’re planning on playing all of our games next year, so getting through some more while we’re off at the end of the year will be alright.

Finished a round in our second session of Elder Scrolls last night. Dark elf bard and a redguard spell sword kicking butt and taking names. I hope we’re not too cocky - I’m thinking it’s going to be a walk in the park - very unlike the last time we played.

Played Wyrmspan this evening with friends. I expected a GIANT stomping in score difference and was not disappointed: Five players with a difference of 80 points between first and last place! (At least I was squarely in the middle!)

We pulled out Castles of Burgundy to teach two of our sons earlier this week. They both liked it and did well for their first time, but one was less than excited by the prospect of being lapped by their dad! (Due to time constraints, we had to quit after the 3rd phase.)

Yesterday we played three new (to us) games: Nature, Roll for the Galaxy, and Dragonwood.
Nature I’d be interested in playing with expansions; RftG took me a bit to grok, but I managed to not come in last place & would play again; Dragonwood is a light & easy filler card game.

Went to @nuke-con.com this past weekend & ran several games. For the first time, all of them ran. Only had time to play in one game, but it was by @jackboxgames.com, so I was happy! Definitely expect to get Party Pack 11 when it releases!

Five player Kavango tonight - makes for a bit more of a challenge than 3 or 4 players. I did ok - 3rd place. The research cards on the third round were just brutal & almost impossible for my preserve!
