I was looking for a flat to rent but all were over my budget. Lady on the internet talked about cheaper haunted flats (as a joke). So I told my mom. Her first reaction: "wish the ghosts could cook and clean too. Otherwise what's the point of haunting." 😭

Wasn't active here for past few days. But I'm back now. Sharing another artwork of mine. Can you guess what is the inspiration for this work?

A small water body surrounded by blue mountain rocks. Waterfalls from the rocks falling into the lake. There's a small island in the middle. On which there's a pretty house made with barks, vines as the body and big leaves as the roof. The house has a larger ground floor with an oval wooden door and three round windows, there's an extention to the main floor behind it with one round window(probably an outhouse). The first floor is smaller and only two round windows can be seen. A flowery vine covered the right side (our left) of the house. The house has a chimney from which white smoke rolling out towards the sky. Early morning sun rays are falling on the house and the trees around it. A little path is connecting the house to the end of the island. And there are flowery meadows on both sides of the path. There's a tiny dock on the left side of the house along with a drying rope with clothes.

I draw what I like. Probably that's why I don't have much viewers. But those that appreciate my work are pure gems to me! Because they're not liking my work for fan-art, or for liking something that's just popular. They genuinely appreciate the art itself. Thank you if you're one of them 🙏

When you reach a point where you just make art for the outcome and public response, then something is wrong.
For me, I will take a big step back. Focus on the process again and draw what I like. Not what I think others will.
It sounds so obvious but so hard to achieve.

When I teach art, I'm super organised, objective and analytical. But the moment I make art for myself I become a derpy-derp-mcderpy 🤓🤤. I don't think there's a cure for that.

What holds you back isn't your inability to learn theory.

It's a lack of:
- Clarity of your goal & WHY you want it
- Belief in yourself
- A simplified roadmap
- More action, less overthinking
- More objective analysis of your mistakes

QRP with how you draw men (!?)

I realised I don't draw men much. Here are few male characters I drew long back(5 to 10 years back, when my artist alias was different)

Been picking up new hobbies left and right this year. My gran does cross stitching and I asked her to teach me. Ended up super enjoying it! It's a nice low-brain activity while watching something in the background. Perfect for unwinding. Here's my first finished cross stitch! Isn't he fashionable?
