We had a superbowl themed party for the Bad Bunny concert. So much fun to eat superbowl themed food like wings. We did have the superbowl on in the background but most importantly was Bad Bunny's amazing concert.I made a dried/fresh fruit & nut plate and some dips (& caneles & wings not pictured).

My baking from yesterday & today. Dark & Stormy cookies from the NY Times christmas cookie collection. They were yummy and had a nice lime flavor (& I usually don't like lime).

Shabbat shalom everyone. My 6-strand challah is baked. My chicken is marinating and keeping it simple (for me) tonight. I hope everyone has a restful shabbat as we explore how we can practice tikkun olam.

A friend of ours is doing us a big favor and helping us with pickup so I made them some macarons with a chocolate ganache filling. Their last name starts with C so I painted a little C on them.

Last night we got another 2 or 3", on top of the 16" we already had. I need the snow to stop for the rest of the winter. I have no place to put it anymore. We literally have a snow pile outside the house as tall as me!

Just south of Boston we got 10" today with the possibility of another 8" tomorrow. By the time Nate & Sy shoveled our and our neighbors driveways, it was covered again!

So happy to be at the MLK breakfast with my BSU Martin Richards Institute for Social Justice colleagues to hear Nikole Hannah-Jones talk about being honest about our history & thinking about how we will be remembered in this pivotal moment in US History. How will we act & stand up!

Hosted some friends over for dinner: Coq au vin (Julia Child's recipe never disappoints, even without the bacon), egg noodles, spicy sauteed green beans, Ina Gartens brownie pudding that I guess I overcooked or something (?) & a homemade Philadelphia style Ice cream. So fun to be in the kitchen.

Today I changed up the challah with a 6-strand challah. Had a few baking issues today but still have some challah to bless for shabbat dinner tonight.

שבת שלום!

Here is the table of contents. Jose isn't really on social media so I wanted to show his great work and look forward to using some of these essays in my future research.

For the last night of channukah, we have all of the menorahs lit. From front to back, Sy made one, one Nate & I bought when we first moved to NY, one my mom made, and one for our baby. It's beautiful to see all of the candles lit. Chag sameach!

Whipped up sables today and dipped them in milk chocolate. Working on getting things to look more and more perfect and the taste was on point. The sables melted in my mouth.

No matter what, we continue to be Jewish and continue the traditions. And now I get to share the traditions with my amazing children. Happy Channukah.
